Government departments

  • Department for Education: Institute for Apprenticeships – Katherine Barclay, Gerry Berragan, Bev Robinson, Paul Cadman, Fiona Kendrick, Asha Khamka, Robin Millar and Toby Peyton-Jones named as the new board members.
  • Department for Transport: British Transport Police Authority Board – Mark Phillips appointed as Deputy Chair; William Gallagher, Shrinivas Honap, Jeremy Mayhew, Martin Richards and Beverley Shear appointed as members; HS2 Ltd – Mark Thurston appointed as Chief Executive, replacing Simon Kirby.
  • Department for Culture, Media and Sport: Reviewing Committee on the Export of Works of Art and Objects of Cultural Interest – Richard Calvoressi and Leslie Webster reappointed as board members; National Museums Liverpool – David Henshaw named as the new Chair.
  • Department for International Trade: Toby Orr appointed as the Director of Communications.
  • Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy: Industrial Development Advisory Board – Nicky Foulston, Sybella Stanley, Hugh Brown and Gillian Wilmot reappointed as members.
  • Foreign and Commonwealth Office: Government Communications Headquarters – Robert Hannigan to step down as Director, once a successor is named; Michael Gifford has been appointed Her Majesty's Ambassador to the Republic of Kazakhstan; Phil Boyle has been appointed Her Majesty's Ambassador to the Republic of Madagascar.

Non-Ministerial Departments

  • UK Statistics Authority – David Norgrove approved by the Public Administration and Constitutional Affairs Committee as the new Chair.

House of Lords

  • Baroness Wall of New Barnet (Labour, life peer) died on 25th January.

House of Commons

  • Backbench Business Committee – Robert Courts replaced Dan Poulter as a member.
  • Women and Equalities Committee – Lucy Allan replaced Jo Churchill as a member.
  • Scottish Affairs Committee – Craig Williams repaced Dan Poulter replaced as a member.

Devolved Authorities

  • National Assembly for Wales: Manon Antoniazzi appointed as Chief Executive and Clerk of the Assembly.

Local Authorities

  • Greater Manchester Combined Authority – Eamonn Boylan to become the first Chief Executive.
  • East Ayrshire Council – Fiona Campbell elected for Kilmarnock East and Hurlford – SNP hold.

Industry and interest groups

  • Support the Heroes – The Charity Commission appointed Brian Johnson as Interim Manager.
  • CharityComms – Adeela Warley to replace Vicky Browning as Chief Executive.
  • British Cycling – Ian Drake stepped down as Chief Executive, Jamie Obank to take the role on an interim basis.
  • Brunswick – Kate Fall joined as a Senior Adviser, part-time.
  • Edelman - Robin Gordon-Farleigh to join as Regional Director, Government Strategies in the Middle East in March.
  • Brand Communications – James Duddridge has taken a role as an adviser.
