Civil Service World Innovation Lecture

Civil Service World and BT invite you to join us for the 2020 Innovation Lecture, a chance to hear from inspiring speakers and discuss the challenges facing industry and society.

As we prepare for another year of change, Civil Service World and BT invite you to join us for the 2020 Innovation Lecture, a chance to hear from inspiring speakers and discuss the challenges facing industry and society.

In May 2019, the government set out a series of ambitious missions focused on the four Grand Challenges of the Industrial Strategy. The missions, ranging from using AI, to improving healthcare, to creating a net-zero carbon industrial cluster, will require government and industry to collaborate, and innovate to find solutions.

This event aims to support that innovation, bringing together leaders from across government with experts from industry and academia to provoke discussion and build partnerships. Four speakers, each with relevant insight into one of the Grand Challenges, will set out the latest advances in their area of expertise. During the networking breaks, against one of the most spectacular views in London, attendees will be encouraged to reflect on the challenges facing policy makers and their industry partners as they develop and deliver these solutions.

The event is free to attend and will take place on Wednesday 29 January at London's iconic BT Tower from 18:30 until 21:30.

Speakers include:

- Fotis Karonis - CTIO, BT Enterprise

- Dr Nicola Millard - Principal Innovation Partner, BT

- Matt Sexton - Chief Strategy Officer, Futerra

Places are limited, so please let us know as soon as possible if you would like to register your interest in attending, by emailing rsvp@dodsgroup.com. Please note, this event is only open to Civil Servants.
