She’ll remain at the organisation until the end of the year, working on international services. Her interim replacement is Neil Ackroyd, currently deputy director-general and director of operations.
Ian Trenholm, currently director of operations at the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, will join NHS Blood and Transplant as chief executive on July 1. He will replace Lynda Hamlyn, who retires in August.
