COVID-19 rapidly changed how primary care delivers services, giving rise to more digital and remote consultations, for example. While these changes have protected patients and staff, they’ve also highlighted how different the future primary care workforce could be.
This is a complex landscape, but it does hold opportunities. There’s unprecedented impetus for change, and the right actions now will secure a positive human future for society. GPs and system leaders must work together to find ingenious, shared solutions to meet changing demands.
