Devolved Authorities:
- Northern Ireland Assembly: Philip McGuigan (Sinn Féin) was co-opted to replace Daithí McKay as MLA for North Antrim.
- Scottish Parliament: Michael Russell MSP to become Minister for UK Negotiations on Scotland's Place in Europe in the Office of the First Minister, and will attend cabinet (all subject to confirmation by the Scottish Parliament).
Local Authorities:
- Inverclyde Council – Aubrey Fawcett to replace John Mundell as Chief Executive.
- By-election Result 25th August Fife Council – Mary Lockhart elected for The Lochs – Labour gain from Independent.

- Park Charitable Trust – The Charity Commission appointed Ian Oakley-Smith of PricewaterhouseCoopers as Interim Manager.
