Government departments

• Number 10: Dan Rosenfield to become Chief of Staff from 7 December.
• Department for Work and Pensions: BPDTS Ltd – Rich McHugh to replace Loveday Ryder as chief executive on 1 January; Pensions Ombusdman – Caroline Rookes appointed as chair, having been in the role on an interim basis.
• Ministry of Justice: Youth Justice Board - Susannah Hancock, Jacob Sakil and Louise Shorter appointed and Ben Byrne, Sharon Gray, Neal Hazel and Keith Towler reappointed as members.
• Department for Transport: Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency – Loveday Ryder to become chief executive on 1 January.
• Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office: Baroness Sugg resigned as minister for sustainable development; Dileeni Daniel-Selvaratnam has been appointed Governor of Anguilla in succession to Tim Foy.; Bryony Mathew has been appointed Her Majesty’s Ambassador to the Republic of Iceland.
• Home Office: Lord Walney appointed as Independent Adviser on Political Violence and Disruption.

Non-Ministerial Departments

• HM Revenue & Customs: Jayne-Anne Gadhia to become chair in January, replacing Mervyn Walker.

Local Authorities

• Pembrokeshire Council: Richard Brown appointed as interim chief executive, replacing Ian Westley at the end of the month.
• South Tyneside Council: Tracey Dixon named as leader after Iain Malcolm resigned from the role and the party.
• Central Bedfordshire Council: James Jamieson to stand down as leader in January.
• By-election results 26 November: Perth and Kinross Council – Ian Massie elected for Perth City North – Scottish National Party hold. (Dave Doogan resigned); Liz Barrett elected for Perth City South – Liberal Democrat gain from Scottish National Party (Bob Band died).
