The Digital Frontline: Rethinking the use of data and information in modern poli

Police have unprecedented access to data that they draw upon daily to facilitate their duties to promote the safety and security of local communities. It would hardly be an exaggeration to say that police today are just as much data analysts as they are street patrols. But how easy is it to access that data?

Dods partnered with MarkLogic to explore how police forces today are using data and what the barriers are to doing so more effectively. Front-line and senior employees from 34 regional police forces across the UK were surveyed, illustrating how ineffective data management may be costing police valuable time.
