The director of Civil Service Learning is moving to a new role less than two years after taking up her post.
Hilary Spencer is set to become director of the Government Equalities Office from mid-July.
She will take over from Helene Reardon-Bond, who has been interim director at the equalities office since April.

Spencer’s move from Civil Service Learning comes after the unit, which provides training opportunities for departments to buy for their staff, moved to a new operating model that splits provision into four separate lots.
The previous system had been overseen by Capita and subcontracted courses to a range of smaller suppliers.
Spencer, who formally took up the director post at Civil Service Learning in October 2014, said it had been “a real privilege” to lead organisation and that the thirst for learning across the civil service was “inspiring”.
“I am passionate about helping create the conditions where people can achieve their potential: this is what attracted me to Civil Service Learning, and is what really excites me about my new role at the Government Equalities Office,” she said.
The equalities office is responsible for equality strategy and legislation across government. It sits within the Department for Education.
