A future coalition government would have to commit to maintaining defence spending at 2% of GDP if it wants DUP support.

The party’s defence spokesman, Jeffrey Donaldson, told Sky News: “We need to see a very clear commitment on 2% GDP spending and that must be upheld.”

DUP leader Nigel Dodds said in a Guardian article that a review of the bedroom tax and new protections for the UK’s borders will be additional conditions set by the party.
