Health Overhaul Insurers

Tony Blair’s former health adviser Simon Stevens will replace Sir David Nicholson as the next chief executive of NHS England in April. Paul Gray has been appointed chief executive of NHS Scotland and DG of health and social care. Meanwhile, former Welsh Government perm sec Dame Gill Morgan has been made chair of the Foundation Trust Network.

At the energy department (see p1), Arthur Leathley has been made the new director of communications; Katrina Williams is to become DG of the new International Science and Resilience Group; and Angie Redgwell has been appointed DG of finance and corporate services.

At the newly created Competition and Markets Authority (CMA), the first wave of director-level appointments has been announced.
