- Department for Work and Pensions: National Employment Savings Trust Corporation – John St. Hill appointed as Deputy Chief Investment Officer.
- Ministry of Justice: Prison Service Pay Review Body – Peter Knight reappointed as Chair.
- Department for Culture, Media and Sport: Sport England – Nick Bitel reappointed as Chair; National Heritage Memorial Fund/Heritage Lottery Fund – Atul Patel, Richard Morris, Seona Reid, Tom Tew, Sandie Dawe and Steve Miller reappointed as Trustees.
- Cabinet Office: Committee on Standards in Public Life – Jane Martin joined the committee as a member.
- Foreign and Commonwealth Office: Peter Wilson has been appointed Her Majesty's Ambassador to the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
- Department for Communities and Local Government: Michael King appointed as the new Local Government Ombudsman.
- Department for International Trade: Antonia Romeo appointed as Permanent Secretary from 27th March.
House of Lords
- Lord Lyell (Conservative, Hereditary Peer) died on 10th January. A by-election to replace him will take place in due course.
- Lord Carlile of Berriew has left the Liberal Democrats, and now sits as Non-affiliated.
House of Commons
- Tristram Hunt, Labour MP for Stoke-on-Trent, is resigning as an MP in order to become the Director of the Victoria and Albert Museum. A by-election will take place in due course.
- Regulatory Reform Committee - Stephen McPartland and Mark Menzies replaced Andrew Percy and Christopher Pincher as members.
- Finance Committee – Stephen McPartland to replace Jake Berry as a member.
- Administration Committee – Mary Robinson replaced James Gray as a member,

- Martin McGuinness resigned as Deputy First Minister, and as a result of the power sharing agreement Arlene Foster lost her role as First Minister.
- Department of Education - Derek Baker appointed as the new Permanent Secretary.

- Sunderland Council – Stephen O’Brien elected for Sandhill – Liberal Democrat gain from Labour.
- Three Rivers Council – Alex Michaels elected for Gade Valley – Liberal Democrat gain from Conservative.
