Government departments

  • Prime Minister’s Office: Churches Conservation Trust - Simon Jenkins reappointed as a member.
  • Department for Health and Social Care: NHS Improvement - Hugh McCaughey will take on the new role as national director of improvement.
  • Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy: Small Business Commissioner’s Office - Heidy Rehman and Laurence Milsted appointed as non-executive directors; Coal Authority - Jayne Scott has been appointed as a non-executive director and chair of the audit risk committee of the Coal Authority; UK Atomic Energy Authority - Antonia Jenkinson named as the new chief financial officer and director of corporate affairs from 11 February.
  • Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport: UK Anti-Doping - Pippa Britton and Sarah Winckless reappointed to the board; Natural History Museum - Hilary Newiss and Simon Patterson reappointed as trustees; Theatres Trust - Richard Baldwin and Patrick Dillon reappointed as trustees.
  • Foreign and Commonwealth Office: Matthew Lawson has been appointed Her Majesty's Ambassador to the Republic of Tajikistan; Sian MacLeod has been appointed Her Majesty’s Ambassador to the Republic of Serbia.
  • Home Office: Advisory Council on the Misuse of Drugs - Mohammed Fessal, Graeme Henderson, Roger Knaggs, Carole Hunter, Matthew Sutton and David Taylor appointed as members.
  • Cabinet Office: Infrastructure and Projects Authority - Fiona Spencer as new director of project delivery profession.
  • Department for Education: Education and Skills Funding Agency - Kate Josephs appointed as the new director of funding from April.
  • Whips’ Office: Gareth Johnson resigned as a whip.

  • Viscount Slim (Crossbench, hereditary peer) died on 12 January.
