Manzoni waives his £100,000 drinks company salary

According to a report in The Guardian today, Manzoni faced criticism from 70 charities and medical professionals and charities for his non-executive role on the SABMiller, which owns brands like Grolsch and Bulmers.

The Cabinet Office previously sent out a statement when questioned, again by the Guardian, regarding Mazoni’s second job saying there was “not a conflict in interest” with him keeping it.

Yesterday, however, they sent out a new statement specifying: “[Manzoni] has resigned his appointments except the SABMiller which it has been agreed he can retain to do in his own time on an unpaid basis.”
